Coach Frans
Master InstructorWith over two decades at the table, Frans has coached players from complete beginners to national-level competitors. His teaching philosophy is simple: understand the why behind every shot, and the how takes care of itself. Frans holds certifications across 8-Ball, 9-Ball, 10-Ball, Straight Pool, One-Pocket, and Snooker — making him one of the most versatile billiards educators in the country.
Teaching Methods
The F.R.A.N.S. Framework
Frans's signature teaching model: Focus, Read, Aim, Navigate, Stroke. Every lesson builds one layer at a time, ensuring the student internalises each step before moving to the next.
Ghost Ball Visualisation
Students learn to see the ghost ball — the invisible target position — on every single shot. This mental overlay technique accelerates accuracy gains faster than any drill.
Pattern Library
Frans maintains a library of 50+ run-out patterns across all disciplines. Students drill these until they become instinctive, then learn to improvise variations under match pressure.
The Silent Safety
Advanced students learn Frans's "silent safety" principle: every shot is simultaneously an attacking move and a defensive set-up. The opponent never gets an easy table.
